Ground Pork Ramen Salad#
This is a fun little salad I just made up to try and use up the ground pork and coleslaw mix I had in the fridge. Turned out pretty tasty and would make it again.
Ingredients#
- 1 lb ground pork
- 1 16 oz bag of coleslaw mix
- 1 tbsp sesame oil
- 2 tbsp dices garlic
- 1/2 cup water
- 1.5-2 tbsp of low sodium (or regular) chicken better than bouillon
- 1 tbsp of rice vinegar
- 1 tbsp of soy sauce (less if using regular better than bouillon)
- 1 tsp of lemon juice
- 1/2-1 tsp of MSG
- 1 block of instant ramen noodles (I use nissin top or maruchan)
Steps#
- Heat up the sesame oil in a pan.
- Add the ground pork and garlic and cook completely.
- Add the coleslaw mix and let it cook down for about 5-8 minutes. Want it slightly softened but not cooked thoroughly. (still want some crunch to it)
- Mix the water, better than bouillon, vinegar, soy sauce, and lemon juice. Pour into the pain.
- Sprinkle MSG on top and mix it all together.
- Remove from heat.
- Before serving, break of the block of ramen noodles into small pieces and sprinkle on top of individual servings or mix into the full salad.
I hope you like it.
